Bob and Kristen are both native Topekans having grown up  in nearby neighborhoods, even graduating in the same Topeka West High School class.  Kristen discovered she had a passion for antiques by unearthing treasures at garage sales with her father and attending auctions as a teenager.  After a few years of collecting, her home was bursting at the seams and she knew if she wanted to continue to buy she needed to have an outlet to sell.  She began selling at antique shows, opened her home for seasonal open houses and in l987 opened Gallery Classic.  Presently in its third location, Gallery Classic has 10,000 sq. ft. with a 3,000 sq. ft. warehouse on site.  Bob and Kristen have six grown children, three cats and an adorable cocker/mutt named Bentley.  Bob is an Emporia State University graduate where he played basketball, while Kristen has an art education degree from Kansas State University.  She is inspired by the simple things that surround her everyday, is currently writing a book on antiquing in Belgium and is also busy designing home decor (lanterns, lamps, baskets, dishes, etc.) all available at Gallery Classic.  You’ll see her love for flora and fauna, as well as her artistic influence at every turn inside Gallery Classic.  Spend a little time with us, have some light-hearted fun and leave with fresh inspiration for your  home!
